Todd R. Marciniak, 46, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at Lake of the Woods, MN, doing what he loved, fishing!

He was born on Aug. 8, 1974, the son of Bob and Judi (Wengelski) Marciniak of Mosinee.

Todd was employed at Norlen Inc. in Wausau for 28 years. He loved the outdoors whether it be fishing on the lake or ice and snowmobiling. Todd was an active member of the Eau Pleine Riders Snowmobile Club. He was a people person with a great circle of friends whom he adored and enjoyed as they gathered around a campfire. He greatly loved his nephew, Wyatt and showered him with love and toys.

Survivors besides his parents, Bob and Judi, include a sister, Holly (Wes) Fletcher and a nephew, Wyatt Fletcher, Mosinee; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, John and Helen Wengelski and paternal grandparents, Stanley and Betty Marciniak.

Lately, we received a WONDERFUL and THOUGHTFUL check from Kathy Landwer and family as a MEMORIAL contribution for
Todd R Marciniak who passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2021. Todd was an avid fisherman and was fishing in Lake of the Woods when he passed. He was doing what he loved, and the family asked for MEMORIALS to be given to charities in Todd's name in lieu of flowers. THANK YOU Kathy for thinking of Prime Water Anglers for a memorial for Todd. Kathy asked that the $100 check to be used toward kids, which will assist with purchasing tackle for our annual Kids Fishing Clinic. PWA sends condolences to the Marciniak family. Online condolences can be directed to the family at along with Todd's obituary.

I worked with Todd at Norlen for twelve years. He was about the nicest guy you could meet. One of the necessary things that keeps a person employed in the same place for this amount of time is having the privilege of coworkers you actually like, and when I think of my time at Norlen, Todd comes to the top of that list. He’s gone much to soon and there will be a quiet void in his place. My deepest condolences to his friends and family.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I worked with Todd many years back at Norlen. When I moved into the office as an Estimator Todd was a great teacher and just an all around great guy. Probably one of the nicest people I been I've been lucky enough to call a friend. I'll miss stopping in and visiting Todd when driving up north to visit my parents. He always welcomed us in and we'd talked about the times working together and fishing. He'd bring out a few of his collector Nascars still in the box to let Max play with them while he and I talked. I still remember the day I stopped in after he bought his boat. He was so proud and had this big smile while showing it to me. If my son Max turns out to be as great of a guy as Todd I'd be a very proud dad. My heart goes out to his family and close friends.
