Barbara A. Ziemanski, 83, Wausau, died Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was born Jan. 2, 1938, in Berlin, Wis., the daughter of the late Leonard and Helen (Mathia) Grota. She married Richard Ziemanski on July 30, 1960, in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1990.

Barb was a homemaker, a home daycare provider, a bookkeeper and enjoyed delivering flowers for Blossom’s and Bows. More recently she was a housekeeper at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital where she retired in 2018. Barb was an avid golfer, (she had a hole-in-one), bowler and enjoyed meticulously caring for her yard, crocheting and incessantly watching the game show network. Among Barb’s favorite memories were the countless family trips to Oshkosh to visit the Grota’s, Resheske’s and Behling’s, and the never-to-be-forgotten gatherings with her “CB Radio” gang.

Survivors include two sons, Terrance (Denise) Ziemanski, Mosinee, and Robert (Dr. Sheryl Dolezal) Ziemanski, New Berlin; a daughter, Shari (Matt) Lyon, Weston; and grandchildren, Morgan and Lucas Ziemanski, Brandon and Ryan Ziemanski-Dolezal, and Klare Lyon. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey, a brother, Donald Grota, and a sister, Phyllis Resheske.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on March 30, 2021, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of services at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements. So sad to hear of your loss. You have my deepest sympathy.
I always had an enjoyable time when golfing against Barb.
May the memories that meant the most to you live forever in your heart and help bring you inner peace and make her seem still very close to you.

We would like to send our sincere condolences to the Ziemanki family at this sad time. Barbara was my first cousin. Her Mon (Helen) and my Dad (Clearence Mathia) wer siblilns. I recall her visits to our house in Berling Wisconsin in the late '50s/'60s. She was a Happy, somewhat energetic presence always. I recall visiting Barbara (& Richard) in Mosinee around 1970 while I attended Stevens Point Unv. We will keep
Barbara, and her family, in our prayers
