Delores Spatz (88) of Kronenwetter, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 after a brief illness.

Delores was born July 19, 1932 to the late Joseph and Theresa (Wojcik) Golembiewski in Stevens Point. Delores spent her early school years in Chicago and then the Kronenwetter area when she was 12. She graduated from Wausau High School in 1951. On April 26, 1952, she married the love of her life, Cecil J. Spatz. He died, July 17, 1989. They loved traveling went on 22 trips to various countries with Polka Production. Delores worked in the Claims Department at Employers/Wausau Insurance Company until her retirement in 1995.
Survivors include her son, Richard (Karen) Bemidji, MN, daughters, Nadine (Randy) Punke, Marshfield, Nanette Spatz, Plano, TX, and daughter-in-law, Barbara Spatz, Wausau. She is further survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren who called her “Busha” a title she dearly cherished and was proud of. Jeffrey (Cara) Spatz and children Jackson and Rhett, Sarah (Adam) Weller and children Hadley and Brynlee, Jason (Shanna) Punke and children Bristal and Courtney, Laura (Thomas) Kovacs and children Lydia, Naomi, Chloe and Titus and Becky (Bryan) Fagen and children (Conner, Tyler, Madelaine and Kalyn). She is also survived by her brother, Donald (Bernie) Golembiewski and sister-in-law, Patricia Golembiewski.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son, James, her parents, sister, Lorraine and brother, Myron.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Rothschild. The Rev. Allan Slowiak will officiate. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. Masks will be required, and social distancing will be followed. Delores’ family would like to thank the many caregivers at Marshfield Medical Center – Weston, Rennes in Weston and Interim Hospice Care for making her last days comforting.
