Alan D. Aden, 62, went to be with his LORD and Savior on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, after a short battle with cancer.
He was born June 27, 1954 in Manson, Iowa, the son of the late Warren and Alice (Gingerich) Aden. He married Debra Decker on Feb. 14, 1987 at St. John Lutheran Church, Mosinee. She survives.
Alan was a loving husband and father. A man of great faith, he was a large influence in the Northern Lights Via de Christo movement. He loved to go fishing as soon as the ice was off the water, enjoyed working with his hands in his garage tinkering on various projects, and loved to plant various flowers around the yard. He grew up in rural Iowa farming with his family. He moved to Minnesota where he met his first wife and had one child, eventually moving to Wisconsin where he met his current wife and had two more children. He also volunteered his time working with local churches as pulpit supply, filling in whenever a pastor took vacation. He also served as Sunday school superintendent for many years, and helped with the vacation bible school program as well.
He is survived by his loving wife Debra Decker-Aden, his three children Christina Aden (Phillips) her husband Nate, Anthony, and Ashley Aden, and his older sister Eva Aden (Oswald) and her husband Bruce, one niece Amanda Rosenkranz-Hill, and two nephews Brent and Troy Rosenkranz, and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents W.D. Aden, and Alice Gingerich (Aden, Aspeslet), and his eldest sister Betsy Aden (Rosenkranz).
