Ann M. Beste, 93, Mosinee, died on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at her home under the care of Interim Hospice.
She was born Sept. 10, 1931, in Wisconsin Rapids, the daughter of the late Bernard and Elsa (Kobiski) Ziegler. She married Gordon F. Beste on Aug. 27, 1955, in Wisconsin Rapids. He survives.
Ann graduated from Lincoln High School, Wisconsin Rapids, in 1949, and La Crosse University in 1953, with a B.A. in Physical Education and in 1955, with a B.A. in General Science. She taught physical education at Mosinee High School and Elementary School.
Ann loved exercise, swimming and water aerobics. She led water aerobics and senior exercise for many years. Her other hobbies included playing bridge, sewing, quilting, baking, reading, and embroidery, and making many wall pictures.
Survivors, besides her husband, Gordon, include her children, Mary Bishop, Scottsdale, Ariz., Barbara (Terry) Wellens, Green Bay, Jean Deaton, Long Beach, Calif., Curtis (Maria) Beste and Jeffrey (Kellee) Beste, both of Mosinee; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Carol (Bill) Schultz, Nekoosa, and Mary Pavloski, Wisconsin Rapids.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Yannucci,a granddaughter Becky Adams, son-in-laws, Jeff Bishop and John Yannucci, and two brothers, Philip and Peter.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of services all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences can be directed to www.bestefh.com.
