Bette A. Baur, 82, formerly of Mosinee, passed away Friday April 29, 2016 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour, Wisconsin due to Vascular Dementia.
Bette was born on July 7, 1933 in Thorp, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Anton and Bessie Maslowske. She graduated from Mosinee High School in 1951 and later married Charles P. Baur on Sept. 15, 1956 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Mosinee, Wisconsin.
Bette worked at Marathon County Public Library / Wisconsin Valley Library Services for many years prior to her retirement, where she made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed getting away up north relaxing and fishing with some of those friends. After retirement, she moved
to Florida with her friend, Dolly, but decided to moved back to be closer with family in Kimberly, Wisconsin.
Bette enjoyed watching the Packers, fishing, shooting pool and a can or two of Busch beer at the end of her day! She was an avid Elvis Presley fan, loved Polka music and enjoyed accompanying her sisters to the casino. Bette especially loved spending time with her Grandchildren.
Survivors include her children David (Karen) Baur, Robert Baur, Thomas (Karen) Baur, Mark (Kathy) Baur, Terry (Anaysai) Baur, Mary (Dean) Goldbeck and Ann (Randy) Hackbarth; 11 grandchildren: Erin & Gareth; Cameron; Justin & Andrew; Travis & Kaylee; Kyle & Hanna; Riley & Ryann. She also had 3 great granddaughters: Isabella, Adalynn and Charlotte. Her sisters Margaret Maslowske, Adeline(Jess) Lutz, Rosemary Sheedy and Mary Maslowske.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael, brother and sisterinlaw,
Wallace and Alice Malone, and brothersinlaw, Delmar Sheedy, Leo Baur Jr. and Neil Baur.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 7th, from 10 am to 12 pm with a Memorial Service starting at 12 pm at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, Wisconsin. The Rev. Brian Barlow will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Halder, Wisconsin.

The family would like to thank the staff of Good Shepherd and Unity Hospice for making Bette's last days as pleasant as possible.
