Bernadine M. Kluz, 93, Mosinee, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, December 22, 2024, under the care of Interim Hospice at Mountain Terrace, Wausau.
She was born on May 20, 1931, daughter of the late William and Martha (Streich) Fochs. She married John Kluz on June 16, 1951, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Mosinee. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2007.
Bernie was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was a quintessential stay-at-home Mom: she was an excellent seamstress, loved to crochet and bake, scout leader, cheerleader at her children and grandchildren’s sporting events, musicals, concerts, and the list goes on. She enjoyed traveling, annual summer camping vacations with extended family, polka dances and card clubs with friends. Bernie also was an active member of St. Paul’s St. Monica’s society, the Mosinee VFW Auxiliary, the local Equitable Reserve chapter, and election volunteer.
Bernadine is survived by her children, Karen (Thomas) Rybarczyk, Don (Carla) Kluz, Joan (Tom) Erdman, Jerry (Suzanne) Kluz, Sandra (Tim) Gorski, Barb (Steve) Cisewski, and Dennis (Cheryl) Kluz; grandchildren, Nathan (Terri), Matthew (Jessica), Amy (Aaron), Allison (Justin), Andrea, Eric (Lauryn), Melissa, Chris (Kim), Tina (Josh), Steven (Kassie), Ashley, Michael, Justin, Dannielle (Logan) and Elizabeth; 18 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Bernice Papa. Besides her husband John and parents, Bernadine was preceded in death by 10 siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate.
