Beverly Ruth Riedel

Beverly R. Riedel, 87, Mosinee, died Friday, October 13, 2023, at Our House Senior Living, under the care of Interim Hospice.

She was born August 1, 1936, in Wausau, the daughter of the late David and Almeda (Buttke) Stanton. She married James Riedel on June 2, 1956, in Rothschild. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2023.

Beverly grew up and lived in Wausau until she retired from her job as a Layout Editor at the Wausau Daily Herald. At that time, she and her husband Jim built a house on the Wisconsin River in Mosinee. She loved the serenity and peacefulness of the location. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mosinee and loved the Lord. Bev enjoyed knitting, sewing, and quilting, but most of all, an iced cold Miller Lite with Jim. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and even great-grandmother. They all meant the world to her, and she treasured the time that she could spend with them. 

Survivors, include her two children, Michael (Nichol) Riedel and Brenda (Timothy) Kuhn, both of Mosinee; five grandchildren, Tristan (Amanda) Riedel, Danielle (Nick) Menninga, Arielle (Tanner) Mueller, Seth (Macy Stepan) Kuhn and Rebekah Kuhn; and his great-grandchildren, Grayson, Emerson, and Conrad Menninga, and James Mueller. She is further survived by her siblings, Wallace (Phyllis) Stanton, VR (Jeanette) Stanton, and Beatrice Stanton.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. The Rev. Phyllis Smoot will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee.
