Sally L. Borth, 72, Marathon, died Friday, December 8, 2017, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born on September 23, 1945, in Wausau, the daughter of the late Orville and Evelyn Manley. She married Russell Borth on March 1, 1967 in Tennessee.
Sally worked at Marathon Cheese for 31 years, retiring in 2010. She was extremely active in her church serving Christ Community Church in Schofield as a Deacon, Ladies Ministries President, and was currently serving on the Board of Directors. She also was involved in the Children’s Ministry for over 50 years. In 2010 and again in 2012 Sally ventured out on Mission Trips to Africa, where she had a deep passion for the under-privileged children.
Survivors, includes her husband Russell; two sons, Todd Borth, Marathon, Kevin (Lisa) Borth, Marathon, two granddaughters; Erin and Sarah Borth, one brother; Keith (Barbara) Manley, Ridgecrest, and one sister; Nona Ostrowski, Wausau. Sally was preceded in death by a brother, Merlin Manley; and one sister, Charlotte Ostrowski.
Services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Christ Community Church, Schofield. Dr. Robin Wilde will officiate. Burial will be in Mosinee Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
