Jerrold G. Brown, 86, Mosinee, died Monday, January 15, 2018, at Cedar Creek Manor, Mosinee.
He was born June 15, 1931, the son of the late George and Ruth (Stoke) Brown. He married Mary Noble on June 30, 1955, she survives.
Jerry had been employed by Mosinee Paper Corporation and Northcentral Technical College. After retirement in 1996 Jerry volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in Wausau. Prior to 2000 he was very involved and a lifelong member of the Mosinee United Methodist Church. Jerry was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren. Jerry served in the United States Army, reaching the rank of Sargent, and serving his country from 1953 to 1955. He enjoyed a monthly breakfast with his “G Company” Army Buddies.
Survivors, besides his wife Mary; include, his children, Jeff (Lori) Brown, and Debra (Rick) Schnabel; grandchildren, Justin Brown, Logan Brown, Christopher (Heather) Schnabel, Jessica (Brad) Bemowski, Jonathon (Samantha) Schnabel; great-grandchildren, Evan, Henry, and Lilly; one sister, Judith Radtke; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister Jacqueline Cox.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. The Rev. Gail Ray will officiate. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service all at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.bestefh.com
