Joan Bruenning, age 100, Greenfield, died peacefully on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee.
She was born Dec. 9, 1917, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Walenty and Anna (Lewandowsky) Gruszka. She married Leonard Bruenning on July 31, 1937, in Mosinee. He preceded her in death on July 10, 2006.
Survivors include a son, Norbert Bruenning, Richardson, TX; a daughter, Marilyn Bruenning, Greenfield; a son-in-law, Allen Budda (Donna Duprey), St. Francis; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Arthur) Saucedo, Matthew (Abby) Budda, Jeremy (Jenna) Budda, Meghan (Mike) Jakubowski, Karen (Steve) Ulrich, Gail Bruenning, Lisa (Phil) Davis, Greg (Stacey) Bruenning, and Brian Bruenning; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 special grandchildren Amy and Jason Serafin. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Budda, daughter-in-law, Carol, a brother and a sister.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee.
