Elizabeth Bush, 99, passed away peacefully at Acorn Hills with her family by her side.
Elizabeth was born April 22, 1917, in Mosinee to the late Frank and Elizabeth (Kmen) Kessler. On October 9, 1937, she married Norman Bush in Mosinee. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1968.
Elizabeth and Norman operated a dairy farm for many years. After her husband’s death, she moved into Mosinee and worked in the meat department at the Red Owl Supermarket, Mosinee. She was an active member of Saint Monica’s at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. She belonged to the Hillside View Homemakers Club where she enjoyed attending their National Conventions.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Rodney (Jane) of Nekoosa and Dennis of Superior. One sister Mary Morrill of Moon, 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Nancy, two granddaughters, two sisters Helen Zell and Irene Korth, and one brother Alex Kessler.
The family would like to thank the staff at Acorn Hills for the loving and compassionate care they provided Liz. Also, a special thank you to Interim Hospice Care for the quality care and support they provided to Liz and her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016, at St Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Przybylski will officiate. Burial will be at St Paul Cemetery, Mosinee.
