JuneAnn Cafarella, 78, formerly of the town of Emmet, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, at Wausau Manor.
She was born June 18, 1944, in Knowlton, the daughter of the late Frank and Lena (Martino) Cafarella. She attended Mosinee High School and afterwards worked with her siblings on the family farm. When the farmland was purchased by the Central Wisconsin Airport, the family moved to a farm on Fairview Rd, in rural Edgar. It was there that her love of animals was evident in her care for the dairy cows and chickens. After the dairy cows were sold, June cared for the many farm cats.
For the past several years JuneAnn was a resident at Wausau Manor and enjoyed the activities there, especially playing bingo, winning stuffed animals and candy. She was also a life-long member of St. Patrick Parish, Halder.
As the last living member of the cafarella family, JuneAnn is survived by her best friend, Roberta Elliott, friends and neighbors, Tom and Jackie Martin and Francis and Vickie Martin and several first and second cousins.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Halder. The Rev. Joseph Nakwah will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee.
