Dawn C. Mansfield, 37, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at ThedaCare Appleton Hospital, surrounded by her family. Dawn passed away from pneumonia with respiratory complications.
Dawn was born on July 4, 1986, daughter of Cheryl (Weiler) Bliven, and the late Lee Peters. She married Mathew Mansfield on October 1, 2011, at the Grand Lodge at Cedar Creek. He survives.
Dawn grew up in Rudolph, Wisconsin, where she attended St. Philips, attended Assumption High School and graduated from Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School in 2005. She attended UW-Stevens Point pursuing a degree in health care administration. She worked as a job coach with Aurora. Dawn was a care provider for Mat’s Grandma and Grandpa.
Dawn enjoyed four-wheeling, the Packers and Brewers, she loved to garden and also enjoyed succulent plants. Dawn loved to bake and try new recipes, always sharing the food with others. Dawn was constantly creating special memories with her nieces and was a great aunt. Dawn loved her fur babies and was able to accomplish her bucket list goal of raising a litter of pure breed lab puppies recently. Dawn will be missed most by Token and Butters her labs, and Sasha awaits Dawn in heaven with a snuggle and dog kiss.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Mathew, her mother, Cheryl (Les) Bliven, sister Karen Helmer (Jay Johnson), and brother David (Lindsey Dupree), Grandmother Shirley Weiler. She is also survived by her nieces Emily Helmer, Kaylee Dutton, Sidney Helmer, Libby Johnson, Izzy Peters, and Anna Peters and her great-nephew Hudson and great-niece Leanna. She is further survived by her aunts and uncles and many cousins and their extended families. Mother-in-law Pam Mayer (Nic O’Hara) and Grandmother Ellen Mansfield.
Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Lee, and grandfather Robert Weiler. Father-in-law Tom Mayer. Kenny Mansfield grandfather who Dawn cared for passed away a year to the day of Dawn’s passing.
Funeral Services will take place on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Rudolph. The Rev. Janusz Kowalski will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
