On September 15, 2022, after a long battle with cancer, Cheryl Lynn Dehne (Olszewski), daughter of the late Adam and Genevieve “Jean” Olszewski, passed away to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Cheryl was born on January 24, 1967, in Mosinee, WI. A birthday she shared with her beloved mother Jean. Celebrating their special day together every year was a bond she truly cherished.
Cheryl first married Robert Schmitt in June of 1996. Together they share two children, Ethan Robert and Colby Adam. In December of 2018 Cheryl married the love of her life Peter Dehne on Cinnamon Bay in St John, USVI. She had found the one her soul was meant to be with.
Cheryl and Pete loved the sun and the beach and treasured their time in the Caribbean. Cheryl’s true gift was home improvement. She always had a creative project in the works. Cheryl was the designer and Pete brought her vision to life. Together they completed some beautiful projects.
Cheryl enjoyed life and laughter! She was easy going, hardworking, a real do-er! She loved watching and attending sports events from her boys’ sports to the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. She enjoyed musicals, her favorites being Grease and Momma Mia. Cheryl passionately loved her family and friends especially her boys Ethan and Colby and her soulmate Pete.
Cheryl was a dedicated professional who often put in hours long after the workday was finished. She had a 23-year career in sales with Wilson-Hurd Mfg Co. In 2015, Cheryl joined TD Fischer serving as VP Sales. She retired in October 2021 to focus on her battle with cancer.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Pete, sons Ethan Schmitt and Colby Schmitt, sister Julie Lemke (Lorne and Matt), brother James “Radar” Olszewski (Michelle, Sarah, Leigh, Ariana) all of Mosinee, her sister Karen Wagner (Heather) of Ossian, IA, mother-in-law Barb Dehne of Racine, WI, Step-daughters, Abby Dehne and Jaci Mucha (Lance & step-grandchildren Lily, Lucy and Sebastian), Sister-in law, Jill Anderson (Joel, Colin, Christian, Channing, Samuel). She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Olszewski (Adam, Ashley, Andy, Jenny, Elissa).
Cheryl will be desperately missed by all those she touched. She has forever made an imprint on our lives.

A memorial service will take place on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at 3:00 pm, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Weston. Pastor Lance Hoelscher will officiate. Visitation will start at 1:00 pm until the time of service, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
