Dennis Lee Thierbach

Dennis L. Thierbach, 81, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Aspirus Hospice House in Wausau.

Dennis was born on June 21, 1941, the son of the late Herbert Thierbach and Florence (Krancki) Renna. He married Marilyn Konkol on Sept. 15, 1962, in Milwaukee. She survives.

Dennis was a graduate of Central High School in West Allis. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for over 20 years in the Reserves as a Senior Chief. He was a Milwaukee motorcycle Police officer for 32 years, retiring in 1994. Dennis was a lifetime member of Indianhead golf course in Mosinee. He enjoyed golf, tennis, fishing, hunting, bee keeping, running an apple orchard, painting and wood carving. He was also a Fox news and Fox business enthusiast.

Survivors, besides his Wife for over 60 years, Marilyn, include daughter, Debra (Patrick) Herolt; two grandchildren, Kassandra and Ryan Herolt; brother, Terry (Carol) Thierbach; sisters-in-law, Judy Janssen, Dianne (Dick) Jones, Katherine (Joe) Lesak; brothers-in-law, Joe (Kay) Konkol, Roman (Sue) Konkol, and Charles (Jackie) Konkol; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stepfather, George Renna; son in-law, Greg Schultz; In-laws, Katherine and Raymond Konkol;  brothers in-law, Raymond Konkol and Dennis Janssen.

Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 22, 2023, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knowlton. The Rev. James Trempe will officiate. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Aspirus Cancer Clinic and Aspirus Hospice House for their excellent care and compassion for Dennis’s last weeks here on earth.
