Jaye J. Doede, 64, of Mosinee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at her home. She was born Oct. 3, 1956, the daughter of Urban and the late Arlene (Bobert) Bargender. Jaye married Steven Doede at Trinity Lutheran Church in February 1980. He survives.
Jaye was a teaching assistant at Mosinee Elementary School, and she loved working with children. She also worked at Maple Ridge Farms and Piggly Wiggly from 2011 to 2018 before becoming a full-time caretaker for her son. She loved being outdoors and spending time with her family, especially swimming at the Rothschild Aquatic Center. She was a member of the WaeGos and they enjoyed many trips, biking, kayaking and hiking. Jaye was an excellent cook, and she could cook just about anything, especially Chinese cuisine, rice and chicken that her son loved. She was an incredibly outgoing person who enjoyed talking with everyone she met. Her son was a recluse and she always encouraged him to be more outgoing and friendly. She was a very caring and compassionate person and loving mother who always put the needs of others before her own. Her heart of gold was bigger than life itself.
