Jerome R. Dupuis, 89, Mosinee, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at Cedar Ridge Elder Services, Mosinee.
He was born Feb. 24, 1931, in Wausau, the son of the late Marvin and Grace (Doyle) Dupuis. He married Priscilla Beste in 1952, she preceded him in death in 1982. In 1984 he married Marlene (Resler) Rheinschmidt, she survives.
Jerome served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1949 to 1963. He worked at the Mosinee Paper Corporation from 1951 until his retirement in 1996. Jerome was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was noted for his exceptional bass solo voice, singing frequently at church services, weddings, anniversaries, baptisms, funerals, and other occasions in Mosinee as well as many locations throughout Wisconsin. Along with Marlene, who often accompanied him since their marriage, they enjoyed working with other talented musicians. Jerome had numerous other hobbies that included, music, hunting, fishing, camping, bowling, golf, horseshoes, gardening, crossword puzzles and traveling.
Survivors, besides his wife Marlene; include his children, JoAnn (Guy) McElhaney, Wausau, Jonathon (Tara) Dupuis, Mosinee, James Dupuis, Wausau, Linette (Bert) Spencer, Spencer, Kathleen (Scott) McKellips, Mosinee; stepchildren, Warren (Kristy) Rheinschmidt, Stevens Point, Gail (Mark) Pisca, Rothschild; grandchildren, Keri (Sean) Twohig, Angela McElhaney, Tonya Dupuis, Bobby (Raissa) Dupuis, Jennifer Koenig Luepke, Benjamin (Tamami) Koenig, Steve (Michelle) Koenig, Morgan McKellips (Ysurf Shariff), Cassandra (Alex) Talwar, Jenna McKellips; step grandchild, Dr. Michelle (Adam) Rheinschmidt Same; 17 great grandchildren; one step great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother Norbert, two sisters, Charmaine Jenks, and Joan Marquard.
