John Fabry Jr “Jack” was born on August 5, 1932 to John and Elizabeth Fabry, in Glassport, PA. Jack graduated from Glassport High School in 1950 and from West Virginia University of Technology in 1954. All of his college years playing basketball, the team won the state championship, and that record holds to this day.

His first job was with the Marathon coal bit company in Smithers, WV. In 1958 he moved his family to Wisconsin where he worked for Firestone Tire and Rubber Company until 1970. Shortly thereafter, he came to Wausau and worked for Town and Country Tire, then for Miller Tire.

In 1978, he married Babs (Babcock) and moved to Mosinee. His last job in the tire business, was owner of Wausau Auto and Tire Center in Schofield. He purchased the store in 1987 and closed the doors in 1997. In those ten years, he was a great mentor to the young man that worked for him.

After a very short retirement, he went to work for Riiser Energy. He enjoyed his time there so much that he stayed fifteen years, retiring at the age of eighty-four. Jack was president of the Wausau Country Club, held many positions in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, and was an ambassador for the Chamber of Commerce and in Newcomers.

Jack loved to golf, he and his buddies traveled and played many courses, but his greatest venture was to the Masters, where he got to play prior to the big event. He also liked parties, traveling, casino card night with the guys and almost every sport.

Jack is survived by his wife, Babs, his daughters, Kym Fabry, Grafton, WI, Lisa Gonzales, New Berlin, WI, Jacqui (Tim) Brown, Cedarburg, WI, Megg (Tony) Rubbo, Lawrence, KS and Amy (Brian) Mallon, Bancroft, WI, his grandchildren, Sydney and Zachary Brown, Morgan and Marcus Rubbo, Miranda Laffin and Dineen Gorski, and his great grandchildren, Rhyan, Kaine, Charlotte, Olivia, Mia and Sam.
