Clara Mary Feit (Wesolek)

Clara M Feit, 94, Mosinee, died peacefully on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 15, 1927, in Knowlton, the daughter of the late Joseph and Stella (Pehorski) Wesolek. She married Robert “Bob” Feit on Sept. 2, 1950, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knowlton. He preceded her in death on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010.

She was raised on a small dairy farm in Knowlton. She graduated from Mosinee High School in 1945. Clara kept busy raising her eleven children. She enjoyed gardening, which lead to her love of canning the surplus. She also loved her gladiolas. She loved to spend time making latch hook rugs or crocheting, for which she won ribbons at the fair and also left beautiful keepsakes for her children to enjoy and remind them of her. She bowled on a league for several seasons and liked her trips to the casino. She seldom missed her Friday morning coffee group. She was a longtime member of St Paul’s Church belonging to St Monica’s. She also belonged to VFW Auxiliary and Marathon County Homemakers. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Clara is survived by her eleven children, Gary (Evelyn) Feit, Kronenwetter, Judy (Jim) Parfrey, Ken (Chantal) Feit, Jean (Rory) Mogenson, Susan (Mark) Gewiss, Robert (Susanne) Feit Jr., all of Mosinee, Ron (Tammie) Feit, Marshfield, Debbie (Nick) Resech, Mosinee, Mary Lou (Rodney) Seubert, Marathon, Laurie (Tom) Wengelski, Mosinee, and Carol (Lou) Korth, Waunakee, WI; 26 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Bryce Giles, sister, Martha Wesolek, and three brothers, Steve, Alphonse, and Casimer Wesolek.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am, on Friday, June 24, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Mosinee. Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 23, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue Friday, June 24, from 10:00 am until the time of service, at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
