Genevieve Marie Kijek - Lesieur

Genevieve Marie Kijek-LeSieur, 91, of Mosinee, WI, passed away peacefully at Mount View Care Center in Wausau, WI, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Genevieve was born on August 3, 1933, in Knowlton, WI, to Edward and Angeline Hahn. She married John R. Kijek on September 9, 1950. Together, they raised six children in Mosinee. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed baking, crocheting and knitting, camping, fishing, entering any type of prize drawing contest, and especially enjoyed playing bingo. She was always smiling and had an infectious laugh. She was very supportive of her children’s interests, especially music.

She was previously employed at the Holiday Inn in Wausau and at Mount View Care Center. She was married to John until his passing on September 29, 1994. She was married to Reynold Feltz on October 10, 1998, until his passing on April 24, 2001. She married her current husband, Edward LeSieur, on May 9, 2007.

Survivors include her husband, Edward, Mosinee, WI, daughter Jean (Bruce) Borchardt, Athens, WI, sons Kevin (Pam) Kijek, Merrill, WI, James (Renee) Kijek, Lake Worth Beach, FL, David (Wendy) Kijek, Sun Prairie, WI, son in-law Chet Osowski, Mosinee, WI, daughter-in-law Maureen Kijek, Roosevelt, UT, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, sister Julia Wirsbinsky, brother Edward Hahn, daughter Carol, son John, and grandson-in-law Bert Schmoldt.

A Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 p.m., on October 11, 2024, at Beste Funeral Home. The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until the time of service, all at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.bestefh.com.
