Gerald R. Graveen, 90, of Mosinee, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2023, at Care Partners in Weston.
Gerald was born May 11, 1933, in the town of Hamburg, WI. Son of the late Reinhold and Florence (Kleinschmidt) Graveen. He married Janice Mae McKellips on January 3, 1953, at the United Methodist Church, in Mosinee. She preceded him in death on May 16, 2000.
Gerald worked as a Pipe Fitter at the Mosinee Paper Mill until his retirement after 33 years. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan. Being a family man and a devoted sports fan, Gerald never missed his grandkids hockey games, finding great pride in watching them compete. He was an outdoors man, always appreciating time spend outside, hunting, fishing and being at their cottage in Harrison Hills. Later in life, Gerald was always up for the occasional trip to a casino for some midday adventures.
Gerald is survived by his children, Rick (Sandie) Graveen, Sue (Dave) Wolf, Lori (Allen) Davidowski, and Tracy (Art) Hohenzy; grandchildren, Jana Davidowski, Chris (Brittanni) Heeren, Cody (April) Davidowski, Matt Heeren, Kyle (Cassie) Graveen, and Bryce (Briana) Graveen; and great-grandchildren, Ella Davidowski, Evan Davidowski, and Sadie Heeren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Janice, and his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by; one brother, Larry Graveen and a sister, Priscilla Grell.
