Gloria Ann Mortenson

Gloria Ann Mortenson, 87, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on March 29, 2023, at the Marshfield Medical Center - Weston.

Gloria was born on May 4, 1935, to Charles Poll and Gertrude (Kell) in Wausau, Wisconsin. She graduated from Wausau High School in 1953 and married Robert Norman Mortenson on March 2, 1957.

A lifelong resident of Wausau, Gloria dedicated her life to her family and loved nature.  Friendly to everyone, her cheerful outlook will be missed by all including her children Patti, Mark (Beth), Judy Sargent, Kathy Greenley (Brian), Linda Mussell, Michael (Tracy), her 13 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.  Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bob, sister Joyce Hess, and son-in-law James Sargent.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the ICU staff.

A private celebration of Gloria’s life was held graveside at Restlawn Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Mike Fox.  May her graceful spirit live on in all of us.  Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
