Michael J. Goetz, 75, of Mosinee, died on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at Aspirus Hospice House, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services, Wausau.
He was born on November 9, 1941, the son of the late Joseph and Undine (Kleist) Goetz. Michael went on to graduate from the Mosinee High School in 1960 and then met and married the love of his life Diane Krueger on Sept. 9, 1961 in Wausau. She preceded him in death on March 17, 1990. Michael and Diane resided in Kronenwetter their entire lives until Diane passed on March 17.1990. Michael and Diane had three children Jay, Scott, and Bonnie who were there by his side throughout.
Michael worked At Irick Studios, Tapper Dairies, then Foremost Foods / Wisconsin Dairies for 34 years before retiring in 1999. Besides Michael’s overwhelming Love for his grandchildren, he enjoyed all sports, and was a lifelong Packer and Brewer fan, who looked forward to helping organize the annual family Brewer Game get away. He enjoyed his TV shows and playing on his computer. Michael also bowled and was secretary for many years in leagues at Paper City and Coral Lanes with good friends and family. Mikes ultimate love was going up north to be with his camping family at Patricia Lake in Minocqua for over 30 years. Mike will be missed by all that new him.

Survivors, include his three children; Joseph “Jay” (Michele) Goetz, Mosinee, Scott Goetz, Cadott, Bonnie (Phillip) Roth, Wausau; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Jayson, Jade and Jaron Goetz, Christopher and Jordan Brzezinski, and Jacob, Nathan, and Nicole Roth; three brothers, Thomas (Gail) Goetz, Jack (Lori) Goetz, and Ron Goetz; a sister, Joannie (Dan) Kusick; a cousin, Sharon (Ricardo) Garcia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Goetz, and a daughter in-law, Kim Goetz.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 9, 2017, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Przybylski will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of services, Thursday all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
