Cecelia Helen Gord (Gorski)

Cecelia H. Gord, 93, Rib Mountain, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, Marshfield Medical Center - Weston.

She was born Nov. 22, 1929, in Mosinee, WI. Daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Nievinski) Gorski. On Aug. 20, 1949, Cecelia married Edward Gord at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1991.

Cecelia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved all children and lit up when babies were present.

With the Christmas season upon us, we are reminded of her beautifully decorated Christmas trees, both at home and at her church, that displayed her many homemade ornaments. Cecelia had a passion for gardening and making floral arrangements as well as cooking wonderful meals for her family. They especially loved her homemade dinner rolls and coffee cakes.

Survivors, include her children; Kathleen Rohde, Wausau, James (Debbie) Gord, DePere, Thomas Gord, Mosinee; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Brothers; Don (Maxine) Gorski, Neenah, and Dennis (Jean) Gorski, Brookfield; sisters; Janice Lietz, Neenah, Gina Zerbian, Chippewa Falls, Jerilyn Gorski, Mosinee. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Norman and Jerome Gorski, sisters, Mary Ann Lietz, and Shirley Napiwocki, as well as a son-in-law, Glenn Rohde.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Friday, until time of service, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
