Clara R. Gorka, 88, Kronenwetter, died on Sunday, July 24, 2016.
She was born on April 30, 1928, the daughter of the late Jacob and Stella (Gill) Stachura. She Married Frank Gorka on Aug. 9, 1947, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knowlton. He preceded her in death on April 28, 1999.
She was a P.J. Jacob’s High School, Stevens Point, graduate and worked as waitress at Antlers Supper Club and the Airport Restaurant for 40 years. Clara was active in her faith and in the church. She loved spending time in the garden, doing word searches and Jigsaw puzzles and gambling.
Survivors include four sons, Donald (Carrie), Hayward, Randy (Shirley) Gorka, Joe (Candy) Gorka, and Rodney (Barbara) Gorka, all of Mosinee; a daughter, Margaret “Peggy” (Greg) Van Price, Hawaii; 12 grandchildren, Tammy, Don Jr., Robert (Gerrian), Jennifer (Jason), Erin (Bill), Lindsey, Chris, Matt, Danielle (Adam), Jessica (Steven), Tommy (Sarah), and Kevin; many great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Simonis and Monica Omernick. She is preceded in death by a brother, Vincent and three sisters, Lucille, Elsie and Dorothy.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knowlton. The Rev. James Arthur will officiate. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Knowlton.
