Ronald F. Greene 87, of Mosinee died Tuesday, November 26th, 2019 at home. He was born February 21, 1932 in Milwaukee, the son of the late Walter and Agnes (Arentzen) Greene. He married Mary Sciurba on September 27, 1952 in Milwaukee. She survives.
Ron began working for the Milwaukee Road Railroad (later known as the Soo Line) as a Switchman when he was 18 years old. He retired 43 years later. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. Ron loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed his time at their place on the lake in Tomahawk. He loved the outdoors and he also enjoyed his occasional trips to the casino to play the slots.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary; his three children, Jenny (Randy) Mueller of Milwaukee, Ron (Rhonda) Greene of Delavan, Sue (Jeff) Sell of Mosinee; four grandchildren, Joe (Lynn), J.J., Lisa (John) and Brian; Three step-grandchildren, Jim (Cheryl), Jill, and Justin; four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Austin, Adriana and Evelyn; a brother Walter (Jane) Greene of Sioux City , Iowa; a sister, Shirley Bolda of Plainfield, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Larry Mauritz of Pewaukee; a sister-in-law, Jo Greene of Butler; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Mauritz, a brother, Roger Greene, and a brother-in-law, Richard Bolda.
Visitation will be from 1:00pm Monday, December 2, 2019 until 2:30pm at which time services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Flowers Milwaukee. Beste Funeral Home of Mosinee assisted the family with arrangements.
