Don Hedke, 87, Mosinee, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at St. Rita Adult Family Home, Mosinee.
He was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Oshkosh, the son of the late Clarence and Margaret (St. George) Hedke. He Married Donna Mae Dean on Oct. 9, 1999 at St. John Lutheran Church, Mosinee. She survives.
Don was a high school graduate from Winneconne High School and worked as a boat motor examiner. He also worked for the E.A.A. as a photographer for many years. Don took pride in being a musician for 55 years. For eight years, he enjoyed singing and playing the keyboard and accordion at The Belvedere Supper Club in Marshfield. He enjoyed visiting new places, going on vacations and visiting his children. Don was an avid Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers Fan.
Survivors besides his wife, Donna, include a son, Neil (Doree Klassen) Hedke, Oshkosh; a daughter, Laura (Steve) Fries, Manitowoc; three step-sons, Alan (Kathy) Bargender, Joliet, IL, Scott (Laurie) Bargender, Wausau, and Todd Bargender, Hatley; a step-daughter, Sandra (Randy) Leszczynski, Kronenwetter; three grandchildren, Jacob, Margaret, and Stacy; 12 step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Marilyn Lange will officiate. Burial will be in Mosinee Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of services all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
