On Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, Patricia Ann (Darling) Geiger, Hoewisch passed away peacefully at Aspirus Medical Center, Wausau, at the age of 68.
Patricia was born on Oct. 23, 1951, in Shawano, to Lesley and Minnie (Krueger) Darling. She attended St. James Lutheran School, Shawano, and St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran School, Appleton. After school she married Daniel J. Geiger and were blessed with one child, Dawn Geiger. Daniel passed away three years later. Patricia remarried many years later to Willard Hoewisch and were blessed with two boys, Jesse and Matthew Hoewisch, and one stepdaughter, Karen (Donald) Miller.
Patricia has lived in many places over the years but then settled in the Mosinee area for about ten years. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, wildlife and birds. She loved baking cakes and cookies for her family and friends. She loved getting ready for the holidays and spending time with her family.
Patricia worked for WPS and KleenMart until her retirement three years ago. After her retirement she spent her time traveling to Stevens Point and visiting her great-grandchildren whom she enjoyed very much.
She is survived by her loving children, Dawn Geiger, Lafayatte, LA, Jesse (Amanda) Hoewisch, Fort Hood, TX, and Matthew Hoewisch, Kirksville, MO; a stepdaughter, Karen (Donald) Miller, Stevens Point; her six grandchildren, Joslyn, Leona, McKenna, Amanda, Joseph, and Owen: four great-grandchildren, Megan, McKenzie, Ares, and Natalie; and three siblings, Eugene (Maraliyn) Darling, Yvonne (John) Studack and Wayne (Lisa) Darling. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, mother, one sister, Darylin, her first husband, Daniel, her second husband, Willard, and her great-granddaughter, Morgan.
A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.bestefh.com.
