James "Jim" Paul Adamus

James “Jim” P. Adamus, 57, of Mosinee, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 14, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Jim was born on September 7, 1967, son of the late Edward and Pauline (Suwanski) Adamus. Jim married Denise Adamus for 20 years.

Jim grew up on the Adamus family farm in Peplin where he continued to reside. Jim farmed the land while working in sales roles until he found his dream career with Adamus Catering. He thrived on preparing and serving his signature freshly grilled chicken for numerous events in Central Wisconsin. Jim was a proud life-long member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church where he led multiple fund raisers, participated in the choir and held leadership positions.

Jim enjoyed a variety of big game hunting- deer, elk, mule deer to name a few. When time permitted, he enjoyed a round of golf with his friends and colleagues. He also was active in various pool, dart and horseshoe leagues where he excelled and made many friends.

Survivors include his siblings, Robert (Deborah) Adamus, Apple Valley, MN, Lawrence (Gail) Adamus, Rothschild, Patricia (Thomas) Eckes, Stevens Point, and Carol (William) Wirsbinski, Eagan, MN, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a great niece Taylor.

In honor of Jim, you are invited to wear your brightly colored sneakers as he did.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, May 16, 2025, at St. Agnes Catholic Church. The Rev. Jerome Patric will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, from 4:00 p.m., until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will be again Friday, May 16, from 10:00 a.m., until the time of services all at the church.
