Kathleen A. Ryskiewicz, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Kathleen was born on October 25th, 1957, in Wausau, WI. She was married to David Ryskiewicz in October 1990, and they raised three children together. She graduated from Mosinee High School in 1975 where she was involved with cheerleading, gymnastics and Silver Blades. She had a love for softball where she played for Alice’s Angels and later was a coach for her two daughter’s softball team. She enjoyed other various hobbies such as scrapbooking, cooking and kicking ass in pool league where she gained the nickname ‘Kosh’. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Kathleen was always putting smiles on other people’s faces with her one-of-a-kind sense of humor and brought light in any situation.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother, Alice (Singkofer) Pelot, a brother Greg Sabatke, and a sister, Nancy (Sabatke) Berger. She is survived by her three children: Leah Sabatke (Tony Daino), Caitlin (Anthony) Emkes, and Zachary (Shelby) Ryskiewicz, all of Mosinee; four grandchildren: Finn, Oliver, Kyra and Hayden; siblings, Jill (Randy) Buelow, Laurie Henschel, Diane Sabatke, brother-in-law Roy Berger, all of Mosinee, John (Tracey) Pelot Jr. of Stevens Point, Mike (Cyn) Pelot of Wausau; and nieces and nephews.
Per Kathleen’s wishes, no formal services will be held at this time. Instead, a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at On The Hill Bar. 305 Old Hwy. 51, Mosinee, WI, from 12-4 pm.
