Alice Susan Klegin, 73, Kronenwetter, died peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2021, with her husband Terry by her side.
Alice was born in Wausau on February 14, 1948, daughter to the late Louis and Helen (Tyskiewicz) Kwiatkowski. Alice graduated from D.C. Everest in 1966, in her younger years she worked at the Janke Bookstore and Marathon County Social Services. She married Terry Klegin on September 10, 1983, at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, Rib Mountain, he survives.
In 1986 Alice received a kidney transplant from her sister Nancy. Alice faced other medical issues in her life but never lost her faith in God. Alice was a great believer in daily prayer. Alice had two dogs in her life, Chu Chu & Blaze who brought her delight and joy.
Besides her husband, Alice is survived by; brothers, John (Janice) Kwiatkowski, Louis (Janice) Kwiatkowski, and Charles (Francis) Kwiatkowski; sisters, Jean Oppermann and Nancy Vera; as well as many nieces and nephews, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 2, 2021, at Saint Andrew Lutheran Church, Rib Mountain. The Rev. Justin Smoot will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of service, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the family, where they will be donated to a charity in Alice’s name at a later date.
