William M. Kusiak, 53, Mosinee, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Sylvan Crossing, Wausau, after a brief illness with lymphoma. He was born on Feb. 13, 1965, to the late Michael and Helen (Grzesiak) Kusiak.
Bill grew up in Mosinee and attended St. Paul and Mosinee High Schools, graduating in 1983. Bill worked as a Nursing Assistant at North Central Health Care Facilities in Wausau after High School. After entering Nursing School, he worked as a Nursing Assistant at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. He graduated from UW Eau Claire Satellite Nursing Program in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Bill worked at Wausau Hospital and Kennedy Park Medical and Rehab Center after graduating. He also cared for various elderly people in their homes off and on over many years.
More recently, after moving to Wausau, he did yard work on Wausau’s North East Side. He also was a part-time caregiver for longtime friends, Paul and Lee Krieg, in Mosinee.
Survivors include; two sisters, Anne (Jesse) Wiegert, Waupaca, and Laura Kusiak, Wausau; four nieces, Kimberly Allen, Karena Allen, Kayla Merta and Kendra Barkman.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee. John Kulp will officiate. Burial will be in Mosinee Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at www.bestefh.com.
