Laure Ann Parnell

Laure Ann Parnell, 63, died on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

She was born Dec. 11, 1960, in Wausau, the daughter of Kenneth Brod and the late Cecilia (Litwin) Brod.

In her younger years she worked and managed several gas stations in Mosinee. She also was a security guard at the Mosinee Papermill. She worked at EJ Peters until she retired to be a full-time mom.

Laure loved being a mom to Dylan. She gave her whole heart and soul to be there for him. Laure had a big heart which is why she had to leave us. It was time for her to rest. She loved children so therefore she was the greatest Aunt to Dawn, Derek, Danielle and Joshua. From cop chasing, WWE wrestling and overnight stays. They loved her so. Then came her new title of Great Aunt to Austin. A new generation to love and care for.

She is survived by her son, Dylan Parnell, father Kenneth Brod, siblings, Jerry Brod and Lynn (Bruce) Meis. Several aunts and uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother, Cecilia Brod, Dylan’s father, Jeff Parnell, her paternal and maternal Grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Aaron Becker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, until the time of services at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, assisted the family with arrangements. Her family would like to thank Wausau Aspirus Hospital Cardiac ICU and Palliative Care for the loving care provided in her final stay. Her home was at Mountain Terrace, the staff and residences that became her second family. Inclusa for all their care and support.
