Lawrence Mendrzycki of Mosinee died Friday July 19, 2024, at his home. He was born to the late Chester and Stella (Przbylski) Mendrzycki. Lawrence proudly served in the U.S. Navy (1965-1969). He was a Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed his time in the military and only left to raise his son, Kim. He was always bragging about the time spent with Kim whether they were hunting, fishing, shooting trap or racing. Lawrence always had a story to tell and would tell it to anyone who would listen.

Lawrence was known as “Grandpa Larry” to Caitlyn and Ian. He loved to get together with them and was proud to buy them their first bikes. He proudly displayed their pictures of dance for Caitlyn and hockey for Ian. He was alway ready to share a meal with his family.

Lawrence is survived by his son Kim (Kelly) Mendrzycki (Wisconsin Rapids), grandchildren Caitlyn and Ian, sisters Theresa (Carl) Hensley (Weston), Paulette (John) Allman (Weston) and a sister-in-law Charlene Mendrzycki (Deridder, LA). He is further survived by his nieces and nephews.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Chester Mendrzycki.

A private service with military honors will be held at a later date. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be directed to the family at www.bestefh.com.
