Tara J. Leiter, 44, Wausau, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at her home.
She was born Feb. 27, 1973, in Antigo, the daughter of Steve and Terri (Kramer) Babcock. She married Scott Leiter on June 13, 1998, at Sylvan Hill in Wausau. He survives.
Tara was born with a natural artistic gift, which she brought and applied to every aspect of her life. She was known for always having a bright smile and a warm hello and giving help to those who needed her help. She was a devoted people person whose greatest pleasure in life was being with her family and friends. Tara was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors, besides her husband, Scott, include her daughter, Josie Lynn Leiter, her parents, Terri (Steve) Babcock, brother, Travis (Christina) Dobizl, and brother-in-law, Marty (Jennifer) Leiter, a sister-in-law, Rene (Greg) Reissmann, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who all loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Paige Leslie Leiter, grandparents, Mary and Bill Nelson, father and mother-in-law, Ozzy and Pricilla Leiter, an aunt, Mary Kay Kramer, and three cousins, Alex, Sydney, and Gabriella.
A Memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. Dan Thelen will officiate.
