Christine J. Lemmer, 97, Mosinee, formally of Marathon, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, at Acorn Hill Senior Living Community, Mosinee.
She was born October 24, 1923, in Marathon, the daughter of the late Albert and Christine (Heil) Muelbeck. She married Arthur Lemmer at St. Mary Church in Marathon, he preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker who farmed with her husband in rural Marathon. They moved to Mosinee in 1965, to allow her to help with the grandsons. She always had a big pot of chili and chocolate chip and date filled cookies for the hunting season.
Survivors include; one son, Lyle Lemmer, Marathon; one step-son, Floyd Lemmer, Janesville; one daughter-in-law, Diane Lemmer, Edgar; six grandsons, Eugene (Connie) Lemmer, Wausau, Loren (Nikole) Lemmer, Marathon, Chad (Corina) Lemmer, Wausau, Ronald (Donna) Lemmer, Edgar, Terry (Leann) Lemmer, Mosinee, and Gary Lemmer, Mosinee; five step-grandsons, James Lemmer, John Lemmer, Thomas Lemmer, all of Janesville, Steve Chriss, Oregon, and Ken Chriss, Oregon; four step-granddaughters, Linda (Mike) Glasen, Alaska, Laurie Bergaman, Park Falls, Tina Belgram, Alaska, and Vicky Rae, Florida; and 43 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband Arthur, Christine was preceded in death by; one son, Keith Lemmer, two stepdaughters, Shirley Chriss, and Phylis Erdman; one daughter-in-law, Rosetta Lemmer; two grandsons, Robert Belgram, and Russell Belgram; one stepdaughter-in-law, Pat Lemmer; five sisters, Rose Klinger, Ann Gooding, Marie Bielke, Cathrine Kluender, and Betty Parsch; one brother, Leo Muelbeck.
Services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 19th, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate. Burial will be in St Mary Cemetery, Marathon. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
