Mildred “Millie” Agnes Lilla, Mosinee, died peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. She was born January 18, 1939, on her parents farm in Peplin, WI, to the late Charles and Agnes (Ulrich) Kyhos.
She graduated from Mosinee High School in 1957 and moved to Milwaukee where she was employed by Cutler Hammer. She met her future husband in Milwaukee and on October 3, 1959, she married Melvin Lilla at St. Paul Catholic Church in Mosinee. In 1966 they moved to Mosinee. After raising her children she worked as a teachers aide at Mosinee Middle School for 25 years, retiring in 1999. Millie was also a well known seamstress in Mosinee, sewing everything from clothes to wedding dresses, curtains, mending, hemming and alterations.
Mildred is survived by her daughter Brenda (Doug) Deiler of Stratford; grandchildren Ryan (Ashley) Deiler, Stacy Deiler, Shelly Deiler and Logan Lilla; great grandchildren Nathan, Samuel, Grayson, Jonah, Levi and Ava; brother Charles (Kathy) Kyhos of Mosinee and sister Wilma McHugh of Sun Prairie.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Mel (Sept. 2021), her son Scott (Dec. 2019) and sister Shirley Peterson (Nov. 2019)
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am, on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Mosinee. Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of service, all at the church.
