Lori L. Stoiber, 61, of Schofield, died Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Benedictine Nursing Home, Wausau. She was under the care of Hospice through Compassus and Palliative care through Apollo Senior Care. Thank you to all the staff at Compassus, to Jessie and LB at Apollo and Deb at Peaceful Solutions for everything you did.

She was born April 13, 1963, the daughter of the late Robert and Florence (Kujawski) Yirkovsky.

Lori’s greatest loves in life were her children and her pets. She enjoyed walks in nature, time on the beach, time at the lake, spending time with family and friends (special shout out to Mary Ingman, her best friend), kayaking, concerts, traveling and spending time volunteering for many non-profits.

Raised in Mosinee and graduating from Mosinee High School she continued her education and graduated with a printing degree from NTC. She worked at UMR as a printer where she made many lifelong friends. She retired after 35 years in March 2023 and enjoyed the last year of her life work free.

Lori was very strong and fought a long, hard battle with cancer. She passed peacefully with her family by her side and is no longer suffering or in pain.

Survivors include her two children, Aaron and Andrea Stoiber, both of Weston; a brother, Pat (Cindy Wright) Yirkovsky, Harshaw; a sister, Shelly (Mark) Borchardt, Mosinee; many nieces, nephews and close friends; her dog, Molly and cat, Jayne; and her ex-husband and friend, Allen Stoiber. She is preceded in death by her brother, Mike.
