Walter Joseph Malinowski, age 100, of Mosinee, was welcomed into heaven on May 8, 2022, with his family by his side at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Walter was born on Feb. 13, 1922. He married Bernice Woytasik on Oct. 14, 1950. She survives.
In addition to being a farmer, Walter was employed by the Mosinee Paper Mill from 1951 until his retirement in 1987 as a Class A Machinist.
Walter lived all his one hundred years on the same family farm which he greatly loved. He was an engineer missing only the college degree. There was no piece of machinery that he could not redesign, repair, modify or improve. Walter enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, was also an avid Packers fan and loved tinkering in the garage.
Walter is survived by his wife, Bernice, children: Robert (Rita), Barbara (Chuck), and James; grandchildren: Adam, Caitlin (Brad), Jason (Suzie), and Kendra (fiancé Stephen); and great-grandchildren: Owen, Anorah, and Paul. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Phil and a sister, Lillian. Walter leaves behind his beloved cat Tiger and his much-loved tractors.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Donald Meuret will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee.
