Richard “Dick” A. Miller, 78, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield.
He was born Oct. 5, 1938, at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield. Dick grew up on the family farm where he continued many years of farm life. He is the son of the late Albert and Margaret (Hollatz) Miller. He married Barbara Swita on Oct 1, 1960 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Halder. She survives.
Dick graduated Mosinee High School in 1958. Worked at the Mosinee Paper Corp for 40 years, retiring in 2004 as a waste water treatment plant technician. Dick had a love for the outdoors all year round. He enjoyed ice fishing, peeling pulp, cutting firewood, gardening, hunting and more fishing. He also enjoyed gathering with family around a fire for a cookout and a beer or two. When he wasn’t outside, he was attending his grandkids school activities and sporting events or kicking back to watch the Packers and Badgers. We can’t forget about his loyal dog, “Daisy”, who was at his side from sun up to sun down daily.
We will all miss his stories he shared about back in his childhood days to his last day at the paper mill. Dick will be deeply missed by his family, friends and his eleven beautiful Grandchildren. We will miss you Grandpa and Love you forever!
