Benjamin Peter Novak Jr.

May 22, 1962 — March 8, 2021

Benjamin P. Novak Jr., 58, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 8th, 2021, at his home in Bevent.

Benjamin was born on May 22, 1962, in Stevens Point, WI. The son of Delores Novak and the late Benjamin P. Novak Sr.

Ben owned and operated his own stone business for over 30 years. He was born with an incredibly special artistic gift, to which he applied to his landscaping and masonry work, as well as woodworking projects on the side. His fascination with rocks and landscapes started at a young age and developed into his business, as well as an extremely unique rock and handmade stone sculptures collection. He was a self-made geologist with dreams of seeing National Parks in the western US. Benny cherished relationships with and deeply respected his family and friends. When he wasn’t working, he could be found watching or listening to his favorite Wisconsin sports teams or cheering them on in person. He also enjoyed being outdoors in his garden, hunting and fishing, and tending to his chickens (his girls). Some of his fondest memories include the many bonfires, cook-outs, berry picking adventures, snowmobiling outings, and fishing trips with family and friends, attending a rock concert with his daughter, and going to a Brewers game with his son.

Survivors, besides his mother Delores of Mosinee, include his children, Angela (Alex Andrade) Novak, Beaverton, OR, and Adam Novak, Bevent; six sisters, Debra Ostrowski, Mosinee, Phyllis (Mark) Kolodziej, Stevens Point, Mary (Darryl) Somers, Mosinee, Pamela (Todd Schweitzer) Novak, Stevens Point, Brenda (Joe Dietel) Novak, Mosinee, and Carrie (Paul) Simonis, Mosinee; as well as many nieces and nephews and very close friends.

Besides his father, Benjamin Novak Sr., he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Donald Ostrowski.
