James W. Novitzke, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Milwaukee, surrounded by his family, on January 10, 2022.
He was born on June 25, 1934, in the Town of Emmett in Wisconsin. James was a son of the late Joseph and Lucy (Boehm) Novitzke. James married Doris Artus on May 16, 1955, at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar.
James is survived by his wife Doris; his children, Kathy (Robert) Belling, West Allis, Dale Novitzke, West Bend, and Carla (David) Schultz, Pewaukee; five grandchildren, Keri (Eric) Larson, Paulette (Frank) Leahy, Ryan Schultz, Michael Schultz, and Steven Schultz; three great-grandchildren, Olivia Larson, Joshua Larson, and Andrew Leahy; one brother, Marlin (Mary) Novitzke, Edgar; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Johnson and Margaret Artus, and other relatives and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph, Melvin, and one sister Joyce Knetter.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday, January 17, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Halder. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM, The Rev. Joseph Nakwah will officiate.
