Clara A. Obremski, 86, Mosinee, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born Feb. 10, 1935, at Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Staron) Rozewicz. She married Henry Obremski on June 25, 1955, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knowlton. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 2000.
Clara had a zest for life and cherished friends and family no matter near or far. She was sharp and had a great memory and flare when it came to telling a story. She made the best Southern Friend Chicken in the area while running Club DuBay. She also worked at Blue Top and Saloon DuBay. She volunteered many hours as a member of PLAV, holding numerous offices and spent many hours at Tomah VA and King hospitals. She loved to play games with family such as cards and Skip-Bo and will always be the reigning champ at Chinese checkers.
Survivors include her children, Carmen (Peter) Jurgella, Paul Obremski and Stanley (Holly Justesen) Obremski, all of Mosinee, June (Gary) Kubisiak, Stevens Point, and Norman (Jill) Obremski, Gleason; and her grandchildren, Jessicca (Troy), Nicole (Matt), Gregory, Philip, Tristan, Eric, Russell (Katie), Rebecca, Shelby (Zach), Brian (Michelle), Joseph (Jenny), Jacque (Jim), and Jenny; her great-grandchildren, Myles, Maxamus, Gavin, Harper, Hayden, Emma and Carter, Brady, and Logan; and her beloved dog Brewski.
