Ronald L. Obremski, 72, Mosinee, died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center, Weston.
He was born Aug. 26, 1949, in Stevens Point, the son of the late Edward and Catherine (Kedrowski) Obremski. He married Kathie Fochs on Sept. 18, 1971, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. She survives.
Ron graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in 1967 and went on to work at Joerns and then Mosinee Paper Mill for 38 years, retiring in 2012.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially deer hunting with the family “hunting gang”. He was most at peace hunting and making firewood on his property or out on the boat fishing. Ron found pleasure sitting around the fire and fishing from the dock at their property on Lake DuBay.
Survivors, besides his wife, Kathie, include a daughter, Nicole Daniecki, Mosinee; a son, Timothy (Kim Wollock) Obremski, Mosinee; six grandchildren, Paxton Obremski, Samantha and Jayden Danecki, and Ben, Tanner and Lila Obremski; a great-grandson, Mason Obremski; a brother, Ken Obremski, Mosinee; and a sister, Karen Hetzel-McDonald, Stevens Point.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2022, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Knowlton. The Rev. James Trempe will officiate. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangement.
