Anna E. Pecha, 93, Mosinee, died peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2021, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 14, 1927, in Mosinee, the daughter of the late Otto and Katherine (Schantz) Rindfleisch. She married Alfred Pecha on May 15, 1948, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mosinee. He preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 1970.
Annie worked at Marathon Battery, performed housecleaning, enjoyed babysitting, and Jim’s Super Market. She also worked for the Mosinee School District in the kitchen food services and cleaned classrooms in the summer. She was employed there for 25 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Ladies Aid, Boulevard Homemakers and Western Fraternal Life Association (ZCBJ).
Annie loved to go to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sports, hockey, wrestling, basketball, baseball, and anything else they were involved in. For many years she also assisted with crowd control for high school sports. She enjoyed visiting family while camping, going up north with the McGowan’s to their cottage and going gambling with them.
Survivors include a son, Thomas (Sandra Rieck) Pecha, Mosinee; a daughter, Karen (Gary) Jurgella, Mosinee; her grandchildren, Todd Pecha, Kory (Wanda Morris) Pecha and Jill Zebro (Trent) Dudei, all of Mosinee, and Nick (Sarah) Jurgella; her great-grandchildren, Brodey Pecha, Adam, Julie and Allison Pecha, Matthew and Brett Dudei, and step-grandchildren Emily and Hanna Trizinski; a brother, Frank (Carleen) Rindfleisch; a sister, Patty (Emil) McGowan; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill, Art, Otto and Edward, four sisters, Irene, Helen, Marie and Lillian; and a granddaughter-in-law, Heidi (Ivaska) Pecha.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Andrew Ewald will officiate. Burial will be in Mosinee Cemetery.
