Philip N. Riedel, 76, Mosinee, passed away on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at House of the Dove, Marshfield, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice.
He was born on July 9, 1941, the son of the late Frank and Elsie (Hildabrandt) Riedel. Philip married Mary Bushar on Jan. 9, 1965 at St. Paul Catholic church, Mosinee. She survives.
Philip was a Mosinee High School graduate and worked at the Paper Mill for 40 years, retiring in 2004. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He took yearly trips to the U.P. with his family and lived his whole life on the Wisconsin River. Philip was a dedicated grandfather and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Besides his wife, Mary, he is survived by his three children, Tim (Cindy) Riedel, Therese Riedel, and Michele (Jay) Goetz; four grandchildren, Paul & Anna Riedel, and Jacob & Jayson Goetz; two brothers, James (Beverly) Riedel, and Francis (Margaret) Riedel, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Norman Boneck will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Mosinee. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of services, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee is assisting the family with arrangements.
