Timothy D. Schildt, 76, died Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at his home, under the care of Ascension Hospice Services.
He was born on Sept. 13, 1941, the son of the late Sanford and Myrtle (Allen) Schildt. On Jan. 5, 1963 he married Roberta Doyle, in West Allis. She survives.
Tim was an aircraft mechanic for the US Airforce and continued that profession as a civilian for 48 years, retiring in 2007. He was involved in church and his faith. He looked forward to Wednesday morning breakfast with the church’s mens group, making video presentations for Good News, and simply liked spending time at the church. He loved to garden and was passionate with rose gardening. Tim also enjoyed photography and woodworking.
Survivors besides his wife, Roberta, include three children, Chris (Kristi) Schildt, Jeff Schildt, and Tracy (Mark) Viau; five grandchildren, Hartley Schildt, Kyle (Jerly) Viau, Matthew (Jasmine) Viau, McKayla Schildt, and Jacob Schildt; one great-grandchild, Mark Casey Viau; a brother, Bert (Carolyn) Stuhr; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Good News Church, Mosinee. The Rev. Duane Jass will officiate, along with Rev. Joe Carlson and Rev. Gary Harrison will co-celebrate. Friends may call from 9 a.m. Tuesday until time of services all at the church, where at 10:45 there will be a VFW service.
