Richard Joseph Schoultz (89) (also known as Diamond Dick) childhood nickname, of 606 Wilson Street, Mosinee, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Richard was born on February 23, 1932, in Stratford, son of the late Anton and Edith (Altenburg) Schoultz. Richard married Yvonne Sullivan on July 20, 1957, at St Paul Catholic Church in Mosinee, she survives.
Richard was self employed at Schoultz Motors in Stratford for many years and also had Student Transportation for the Stratford School Systems. He served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army from December 1953 to December 1955 with an honorable discharge. He was a graduate of Stratford High School, class of 1951. He was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
Besides his wife, Yvonne, Richard is survived by a sister, Barbara Pelton of Mequon and brother, John (Monica) Schoultz of Virginia, sisters-in-law, Doris Schoultz of Green Bay, and Linda Sullivan of Mosinee. A special adopted son, Daniel, his wife Iris, and two grandsons, Lucas and Pedro of Brazil are very special people who he adored.
Richard was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Schoultz, sister Mary Masanz, brother-in-law, Ralph Pelton, and infant sister.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., at St Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee on Friday, November 12, 2021. The Rev. Don Meuret will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service, all at the church. Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
