Geraldine Theresa Senski (Gronski)

April 6, 1931 — March 10, 2021

Geraldine Senski, 89, Mosinee, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Pride Therapy and Living in Weston surrounded by her four daughters.

She was born to the late Kasper and Stella Gronski in Chicago on April 6, 1931. She married Frank Senski on October 20, 1951, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Mosinee. They were married 63 years prior to his death on July 4, 2015.

First and foremost, she was a devoted wife, mom and grandma. Oh, how Mom loved our Dad, her four daughters, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She truly loved her family, raising us with unconditional love.

Mom and Grandma had so many wonderful attributes, but the strength and determination that she had shown throughout her life were truly inspiring to all of us. From major challenges to just getting us out the door on time, she did it all with a warm heart and brave face. She enjoyed visits whether in person or on the phone. Her sense of humor brightened our lives. She would end every phone conversation with a quick-witted remark.

Dad and Mom enjoyed traveling, especially with grandchildren. Their trips to Door County, Point Beach, and other destinations were held dear to their hearts. They took many state and cross-country trips in earlier years. They so enjoyed visits to California, Las Vegas, and Mackinac Island to name a few.

Mom enjoyed cooking and loved trying new recipes. We always called her a nutritionist as food groups were important to her when preparing every meal. She made guests feel welcomed especially at Christmas and family events. If we were hosting a gathering, she took delight in being the event planner to help make it perfect. Her grandchildren always felt special knowing there were homemade goodies made with love at Grandma’s house.

Her love of politics and world events was evident. She enjoyed letting her political views be known to family and would welcome a friendly debate. She embraced our differences and challenged us often. At an early age, her Father took her with him when he voted showing her the importance of voting.

Mom cherished her friendships with so many over the years. She enjoyed chatting at the beauty shop, her exercise and swimming classes, walking with her friends, as well as dining at local restaurants. She was a familiar face to many working at the Ben Franklin, a job she loved.

Survivors include four daughters, Diane (Andy) Drengler, Mosinee, Donna Kuklinski, Eau Claire, Debbie (Jim) Gord, De Pere, Dera (Blaine) Baccus, Wisconsin Rapids; nine grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Springer, Kristine (Micheal) Herman, Eric and Julie Kuklinski, Angela (Sepp) Backus, Jodie Gord, Beth (Nick) Bonsack, Kelly Baccus, and Jace (Lauren) Drengler; six great-grandchildren, Maddux and Scarlet Springer, Emily and Ethan Jarman, Gus and Leo Backus, and Jack Bonsack; and sister, Dorothy Leitgeb. She is preceeded in death by her husband and parents.

A private service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Mosinee. The Reverend Don Meuret will officiate. Burial will be held at St. Paul's Cemetery, Mosinee. Beste Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be directed to the family at www.bestefh.com.

We would like to acknowledge neighbors and friends Rick and Veronica Swanson and John and Jane Blarek whose loving kindness and tireless support blessed not only Mom and Dad, but also our entire family. We also would like to thank Drs. Thomas J. McIntee, Britt DeRuyter, and Jason Sotzen from Department of Dermatology, Marshfield Medical Center, who listened and went above and beyond expectations to address Mom's medical needs. In addition, we would like to thank the entire staff at Pride Living and Caring Campus in Weston for her care.

Mom always loved a good quote, so in ending: “If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together… there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart… I’ll always be with you.” - A.A. Milne

Now as Mom would say, "okay bye."
